I am a foolish silly little man. I live very close to Shawarma Frenzy and I also love Shawarma. This place has been open for a couple years and my first visit was last week. The stretch of Pape where this restaurant resides has seen a lot of turnover - and in most cases - deservedly so. This is why I completely ignored SF as long as I did until I stumbled on the reviews from this site. Everything positive that anyone else has already said it 100% true. I have only ever had the chicken shawarma plate (3 times in a week) and here are the highlights:
- fresh fresh fresh
- succulent chicken
- tasty sauces that are not over-powering
- great rice (didn't think I cared but it makes a difference)
- amazing value, so much food for $8
Thus far I have only dropped by for pick-up orders but don't be afraid to eat-in as it's nice, clean and modern space. -

I've driven by this spot a few times a week for the last couple of years and it has only recently caught my eye because of my current shawarma craze. Finally tried it a few nights ago.
The chicken shawarma (no beef) is hand cut from the spit so it is in nice chunks not like the paper thin shavings from Tasty.
The wrap is large with lots of flavourful chicken. The tang and crunch from the turnips, pickles and banana peppers was perfect as were the other garnishes. The sauces are absolutely the best I've had so far.
The large shawarma plate is so large that it is probably best to go small. The rice was great (again saffron?), the mixed salad too and the pickled turnips still had a nice crunch to it. The sauces, however, are on another level, especially the garlic sauce. Perfectly tangy and garlicky. I could have that sauce on everything!!
My new go to spot for chicken shawarma. (Empire for beef) -

This has become my favourite shawarma joint. Juicy/tender meat, fresh ingredients, fast and friendly service, generous portions and very reasonable prices.
Things I tried here:
- Shawarma wrap, 5 stars, one of the best I've ever had in Toronto
- Lentil soup, 4 stars, could use a little more volume/flavour
- Shawarma plate, 5 stars, big portions, great tasting sauces/ingredients
- Falafels, 5 stars, freshly made, some of the best in TO as well
Note: chicken is the only meat option here. -

What a gem of a place this is, hidden away on paper and Floyd Ave, this little place served the most delectable Shawarmas and Falafel wraps for miles. The best part is the price, a frenzy Shawarmas for $6.75 and a falafel for $5 and a bit.

Absolutely delicious, juicy shawarma. Good portion sizes and well priced (less than $8 for a shawarma wrap). The veggies are always so nice and fresh. Very nice and friendly staff. I highly, highly recommend this place!
